We provide a safe working environment for all our stakeholders

We make it our highest priority to ensure that all Haper workers (both in office and on-site) are compliant with Work Health and Safety policies. We are in regular contact with our team to ensure they communicate in a timely and effective way on any WHS issues that may arise. To date, our percentage of workers who get injured in any way on site is less than 0.00001%. This is a number that we are incredibly proud of. The only way we achieve this is by making safety a priority within our business through our constant liaison with site supervisors and staff to ensure we’re adhering to current best practice.

We ensure that all our workers and contractors are aware of their obligations for Work Health & Safety in areas under their control and we regularly carry out on-site audits of our staff to ensure that they adhere to our high safety standards at all times.

What we do to ensure compliance

  1. Site Inspections

    Haper undertake site inspections on sites that our employees and contractors are working on. This helps us make sure that the site complies with WHS and that our staff are working in a safe environment.

  2. Personal Protective Equipment

    During the staff/contractor registration and onboarding process, we issue our staff with branded high-vis tops and any other protective equipment that they don’t already have. We also ensure that all necessary protective equipment is on the job site, in good condition, tested as appropriate and used correctly.

  3. Safe Work Method Statements

    We liaise with each of our clients in relation to having a written agreement that clearly outline OH&S expectations. Typically, our staff are required to read and sign our clients safety policies on arrival to site but on occasions we also produce our own OH&S training and policies prior to starting a job.

  4. Hazard & Incident Reporting

    Both office and site based staff are briefed on the process and channels for reporting hazards. All staff understand the documentation system for reporting hazards that are logged as well as identifying procedures for how hazards can be prevented. We keep a record of all incidents big or small and do everything we can in terms of implementing preventative measures going forward.
